July 5th, 2010

Stretch marks are an unfortunate fact of  life for almost every woman. When skin is stretched too far or too fast, such as during pregnacy or weight loss, these unsightly lines appear. Just because stretch marks are normal, that doesn’t mean that you have to live with them. Finnaly there is a treatment for stretch marks that will give you the smooth skin back that you used to have. In just a few simple  Fractional Laser treatments, redness can be reduced, stretchmarks can be smoothed, and your skin can be ready to bare. Laser Hair Removal and VANIQA

May 11th, 2010

Clinical studies have shown that VANIQA  improves the effectiveness of laser hair removal. Laser Hair Removal is a non-surgical procedure, performed in a physician’s office or medical SPA, to achieve long term reduction of unwanted hair. During laser hair reduction, beams of concentrated light are penetrating  into the hair follicle and destroy the hair within that follicle.  Hair follicles have enzymes that cause hair to grow, VANIQA  blocks the enzymes to slow down the hair growth.  By combining VANIQA with Laser hair reduction we’ll have a double approach in hair removal. In general, laser facial hair removal works best in those with with dark hair on lighter skin, however, newer technologies have made the procedure safe and effective in those with darker skin as well. Blonde, red, or gray hairs are generally less responsive to laser hair removal treatment. Coarse hair (terminal hair) responds much better to laser hair removal treatment than fine hair or “peach fuzz” (vellus hair). Most people require a series of 4-6 laser hair removal treatments over time to gradually remove unwanted facial hair.  Some people may experience some re-growth, even after multiple treatments. Touch up’s might be needed.

We are now offering VANIQA, the only FDA approved prescription cream to reduce the growth of unwanted hair, recommended in conjunction with our Palomar Laser Hair Reduction.

Can We Slow Down The Aging Process?

May 10th, 2010

Yes,  we can! Nobody likes to wake up in the morning and notice those wrinkles and sagging skin sneaking up on us. As we age, our collagen production diminishes,  leaving the skin with a loss of elasticity and a poor texture overall. I have good news however! Palomar Deep IR skin tightening laser treatments will help you turn time around. This procedure targets collagen molecules by safely heating the dermis of the skin. Deep IR  laser is a non-invasive procedure that does not require any down time for healing purposes. During this procedure, existing collagen contracts and tightens while over time new collagen is produced, resulting in plump, firm skin. This treatment benefits not just the facial area but the knees and abdomen as well. For example, this is a great procedure to be combined with a weight loss program, or immediately after, to prevent a loss of skin elasticity. It can also be combined with Fractional laser treatments on the abdomen for reducing stretch marks.

At Sonoma Medi SPA, we formulated a treatment with an all around nourishing approach on the skin. We promote the collagen production with Palomar Deep IR in the dermis of the skin and topically we infuse the skin with multivitamins, liquid minerals and amino acids under the pressure of oxygen. Introducing:

Deep IR Skin Tightening/ ECHO 2 Plus Anti Aging Treatment
