Fractional Non-Ablative Skin Resurfacing

The Palomar Lux1540™ Fractional Laser handpiece delivers light in an array of narrow, focused “microbeams”, to create columns of coagulation (heat) within the skin. The heated tissue within the columns initiates a natural healing process that forms new, healthy tissue. This results in a fresher, more youthful skin tone and texture. StarLux Fractional treatments can be applied to most areas of the body, including the face, chest, arms and hands.

Fractional Non-Ablative skin resurfacing requires little to no downtime, providing outstanding results for hard-working, “on the go” patients.

Fractional Skin Tightening Through Soft Tissue Coagulation

The Palomar LuxDeepIR Fractional™ Infrared Handpiece delivers infrared light deep into the dermis. This light causes soft tissue coagulation which leads to remodeling of the collagen within the dermis. The remodeled collagen results in overall skin tightening.

Photofacials and Photo-rejuvenation for Pigmented and Vascular Lesions

The LuxG™ pulsed light handpiece clears vascular and pigmented lesions with high efficacy and superior patient comfort. Our photo-rejuvenation process uses the optimal wavelength of light to clear vascular and pigmented lesions by targeting hemoglobin (for vascular lesions) and melanin (for pigmented lesions). Specially filtered bands of light target the melanin in pigmented lesions, where the light is converted into heat. This heating selectively destroys the pigmented lesion, which is sloughed away, clearing the lesion within two weeks. Our process can remove damage caused by years of sun exposure and minimize the effects of aging. Photo-rejuvenation is effective on the face, arms, chest, and other large body areas, with no patient downtime.

Permanent Hair Reduction

The Palomar hair removal handpiece emits pulses of light into the hair follicles. The light is absorbed by the pigment in the follicles and converted to heat. The heat then loosens the hair and disables the cells responsible for growing new hair. At any given time, some of your hair is not in a phase of active growth. Therefore you will need more than one treatment to affect the growth of all your unwanted hair.

Leg Vein Clearance

To clear leg veins, the vessels must be constricted. A 1064nm wavelength laser sends energy into the blood and vessel walls, where it is absorbed by hemoglobin. The hemoglobin is heated by the absorption of energy, and the vessel coagulates and closes off. The constricted vessel then degenerates, and the visible leg veins disappear from the surface of the skin. Often more than one treatment is necessary to achieve full clearance of leg veins.
